Ann Curry

Ann Curry is an American photographer and journalist. She has been reporting for over 45 years, focusing on human suffering in war zones and natural disasters. Curry was a journalist in war zones like Kosovo Iraq Syria Lebanon Palestine Afghanistan Darfur Congo. Ann Curry (born on November 19th, 1956 in the city of Agana) was an American anchor, reporter on television as well as a journalist. She was most famous as a correspondent on the Today Show, a morning newscast produced by the National Broadcasting Co. Curry is well-known for her reporting of humanitarian crises and natural disasters and natural disasters, particularly in countries which have suffered the effects of war. Curry's father served as a sailor in the U.S. Navy and her mother was Japanese. Her father dated the mother of her in Japan while he was stationed in Japan following World War II. Because of her father's military service the family moved frequently. They finally settled in Ashland Oregon where Curry attended the high school. In the end, University of Oregon awarded her an undergraduate degree in journalism. In her youth she was exposed many different cultures. She has a compassionate view of international affairs is probably a result of her experiences. Ann Curry is a well-known American journalist and news anchor working in NBC. Ashland was her final high school. In Medford, she started her broadcasting career with KTVL Channel 10 as an intern. At the age 22 she was the first reporter to be female at KTVL. In Portland, Oregon she was appointed anchor as well as a reporter for KGW NBC's affiliate. Four years later she moved to Los Angeles as a reporter for KCBS-TV. She received the award of two Emmy Awards during the six years that she worked for this station.
